Father Heart of God2
A damaged self worth tends to be selfish. It demands comfort and recognition in the form of appreciation, respect, honors, rights and privileges. This longing or felt need is contrary to the godly principles of love and discipline in Christ.
This Christian may love intensely. His faith unquestionable and may surpass that of other older Christians. He could move in signs and wonders, make exploits and perform miracles. But in an unfriendly or antagonistic environment requiring love for the unlovable and oppressive humans, his damaged self worth aches. The oppression may lead to an explosion that may spread more pain and bitterness.
In God's economy, any painful scenario is for the purpose of healing the hurting, cleansing the unclean, strengthening the weak and meek, encouraging the fearful, forgiving the repentant, and miracle for the faithful. This is the heart of the Father.
In warfare, the myopic perspective and perception of some warriors, intercessors and ministers of healing and deliverance were boxed in ceremonies, patterns and structures limited to the casting out of demons. A neophyte warrior may go into the motion of rebuking the demons of anger and bitterness away from the angry and bitter person. Yes this may drive out the demons of anger and bitterness for a while but it will come back because the demonized person has not made any decision and effort to get rid completely of his anger and bitterness.
What is then the lasting solution to anger and bitterness?
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Mat 6:14,15 KJV
Forgiveness is the solution to pain and bitterness. This is the heart of the Father. Why?
Forgiveness is liberating. It sets you free from pain and its monstrous by-product and effects.
Forgiveness is a choice and determination of your being, spiritually, psychologically and physically, to let go of your desire, urge and emotions to retaliate, punish and make even with your offender. It is a choice of attitude conforming with the full meaning of God's command to love your enemies by giving up your right to become angry, right to retaliate or punish the offensive person. It is a full measure of giving up the conditions and demands that an angry person has conceived in his mind and heart in order to get even. In Christ, all elements of anger and retaliation must die: thoughts, feelings, emotions, attitude, behavior, character and personality attributed to anger, resentment and bitterness. All must die; you must die to self.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Gal 2:20 KJV
Forgiveness also doesn't ignore nor shuts itself from the offender. It does not build hostile walls to keeps off the offender from your sight or hearing.
Forgiveness sows peace, opens the door for reconciliation, aims to be gracious and loving, building and perfecting harmony in relationship.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:17, 18 KJV
The person liberated from pain, bitterness and low self worth becomes pure and confident that his identity and true worth is in Christ. God's grace and love will be embedded in his life--- tranforming him from being a recipient of grace to a giver of grace like the Father.
Speed of Healing
The speed of healing process is relative to the choice response of the wounded person. Healing can be as quick as lightning or as long as a lifetime. God has provided everything that is needed for complete and perfect healing. It is only a matter of the individual's choice of appropriation and application.
By appropriating forgiveness, the damaged
