Then God spoke thru Jesus, a perfect model of one who hears God's voice and is obedient. When Jesus said that he is the Truth, He is indeed the Word that came to us in the flesh. This was written of Him: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. The words spoken by God in the beginning of time up to the time of the Apostles were written in the Bible. We are admonished to regard the WORD of God as the source of truth. This written word of God is the Bible. In the beginning Moses told God's people not to add or subtract his commands. Deut.4:2. |

But God does not only speak of commands. He reveals himself as a gracious and compassionate Father and walks with us as he walked with Adam, only if we let him. He comforts us as a mother comforts her child. Isa.66:12-14.
Truth is our Spiritual Growth Hormone Our spiritual growth is relative to our relationship with God thru Jesus who is the Truth. The measure of our love and obedience to God is the measure of our growth rate and level. The rate does not need to be in pace with our age rate but at least not lower. Our love also grows, our obedience also a process of perfection. When we were new converts, our love for God is like a child who needs the tender loving care of the Father. But our love must grow and mature, becoming perfect as that of Jesus, pure and selfless. It will not love because of the blessings. It will love God with the Jesus-kind of love to the PAGES 1 2 3 4 5 |
